This policy explains how LP Luxury Detailing ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you visit lpluxurydetailing.co.uk, book a service, or contact us. We are a mobile car detailing business based in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, and we are the data controller for your information.

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.

  • Service details: the address where we carry out the work, your vehicle make, model and condition, and any notes you give us.

  • Booking and payment records: the services you book, dates, prices and payment status. Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number.

  • Messages: anything you send us by email, text, phone, WhatsApp or our website forms.

  • Photos: we may photograph your vehicle before and after work, for our records and to show our work on our website and social media. We never deliberately show your number plate or personal details, and you can ask us not to use photos of your car.

  • Website data: information about how you use our site, such as pages visited and device type, collected through cookies (see below).

How we use it and why

  • To take and manage your bookings, carry out the work and take payment. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.

  • To send booking confirmations, reminders and rebooking reminders by email or text. This is necessary for the contract and in our legitimate interest in running the business.

  • To ask for a review after your service, and to send occasional offers to existing customers. This is in our legitimate interests, and you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

  • To keep accounting and tax records. This is a legal obligation.

  • To understand how our website is used and to measure our advertising. We only do this with your consent, given through our cookie banner.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We only share it with trusted providers who help us run the business, under their own data protection terms:

  • Wix, which hosts our website and runs our booking, payment and email systems

  • Payment processors, which handle card payments

  • Google, for website analytics, advertising and reviews

  • Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram), if you message us there

  • Our accountant and accounting software, for tax and bookkeeping

Some of these providers store data outside the UK, including in the USA. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US Data Bridge.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for six years, as required for tax purposes. We keep your contact details while you are a customer and for up to two years after your last booking, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies make the site and bookings work and are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies, including Google Ads, are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of the site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you

  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong

  • ask us to delete your data, where we no longer need to keep it

  • object to or restrict how we use your data, including for marketing

  • ask us to transfer your data to another provider

  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
